What is Sahanoda Foundation Health-Care Project ?

As one of the social services of Sahanoda foundation, the Health-Care project is to help the disabled poor in remote areas in Sri-Lanka.

Who are we ?

We are volunteers serving in the Sahanoda Health Care Project under the patronage and guidance of most Ven. Haputale Panagnarama thero, a well known Buddhist monk who devotes his life for social work in Sri Lanka.

Whom do we serve ?

We identify the poor, vulnerable elders and their health needs through Local Government authorities.

We help poor patients who require financial assistance for medical treatments.

We also help the upkeep of Rural Hospitals that are neglected.

How do we serve ?

By conducting medical camps, free medical services, providing financial aid for cataract operations, eye clinics, distributing spectacles, contact lenses, conducting eye examinations, scanning and pressure testing.

By donating wheel chairs (new or used), commode wheel chairs, crutches, age care equipment, complete range of hearing aid accessories; help for the needy especially poor cancer patients; financial assistance is given for medical expenses, bypass heart surgeries and kidney transplantation.

What can you do ?

We invite you to join hands with us to promote basic health needs to those who badly need them.

You can assist us by making a donation or sending us relevant equipment and accessories.
