Establishment Of The National Integrated Network Of Community-Based Organizations
Duration – July 2004
In July 2004, the National Water Supply and Water Transport Board, with the assistance of the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank, implemented rural water and community water projects nationwide. As part of this initiative, the Sahanoda Foundation was selected as a partner organization of the National Water Supply and Water Transport Board. Drinking water supply programs and sanitation projects were carried out in the districts of Kalutara, Puttalam, Kandy, Matale, and Badulla. These projects involved the establishment of community-based organizations in rural areas and their active participation in labor contributions.
